November in a Nutshell

Grinch Cookies.... mint chips and some green food coloring!
Veterans Week... our art teacher drew awesome flip books to teach the students about Veterans day, the military branches, the armistice, and how we celebrate it. The students then read them to a 1st grade class. Also, we had a Veterans Day performance where many family members (active and retired) came so we could recognize them. The students LOVED hearing their stories and one of my student's dad brought in Air Force gear to show off.

We have a weekly game night with Tony and Katie. We alternate houses and dessert... Andrew's choice this week was fruit pizza, his favorite and he was proud of his work (no help from me)!

Turkey Trot at school... notice our PE teachers and their costumes!
Cheesecake with Mackenzie and Katie... I had the most amazing Chocolate coconut custard cheesecake. I love you girls and truly enjoyed our time together!

Oh, the abundance of blessings I have to be thankful for... Happy Thanksgiving.

Our Thanksgiving dinner for two and mini pumpkin pies for dessert.

SNOW DAY 11-2-11

The street our front... Andrew had already brushed off the cars by now and he was out buying us groceries!

The road continued...

The parking lot of our complex and tree outside our window.
And there you have it... the three views from our living room.

Below is a picture the next morning of the icycles off my mobile at school.
You have to admit... it was all gorgeous... and melted by Thursday!

You have to admit they're funny...

My 3rd grade friend gave me a bag of Halloween candy...
Another friend was sequencing a story about a rooster who forgot
to Cock-a-doodle-do in the morning.... He got a little confused
at what to call Calvin's crow. :)

Oh... so phonetic

And Lastly, during share on Friday my student says: What happens when Harry Potter kissed a pig?

Pumpkin Carving October 30th

Perfectly picked pumpkins! I just loved the stem on mine!!

Ready for some guts!!

So, in the process of carving, Bree looks down and says, "my nail polish is coming off all over my pumpkin." Or so she thought it was her rerd nail polish. Needless to say, Bree had cut herself several times with the small carving knife without realizing it and was getting blood all over her pumpkin! Never a "dull" moment with that girl!

Our finished products!!

Loving him in the dark! HAPPY...... H - a - double L - o - W - double e - N
